Music
Music is an important part of part of church life at Portarlington Uniting Church. We believe music nourishes the human spirit.
During our Sunday gatherings, we sing more modern hymns and songs led by a small committed choir, keyboard player and guitarist. Choir rehearses each Thursday morning at 9.30am in the church.
New singers always welcome.

Giving and loose change
We at Portarlington Uniting Church affirm that all that we have and all that we are is a gift from God. In gratitude, we commit ourselves to faithfully returning a portion of our income, time, and talent to this church to advance the kingdom of God.
Regular offerings and / or donations for our monthly loose change can be made using a regular automated payment, or an amount you choose each week, or a one-off donation.
Justice
An active Justice and Mission (JAM) group (comprising members of both Portarlington and Drysdale Uniting Churches) arrange annual community justice days that highlight refugee, first nations, ecological and LGBTIQ issues. They co-ordinate our recycling projects and donations to Food Assist 3223 https://m.facebook.com/FoodAssist3223 and other local and international national projects.
A letter writing group meet monthly to write letters to advocate on justice issues. You are welcome to join us on 3rd Friday of each month.

History
Members of the Presbyterian and Methodist churches, and since 1977, the Uniting Church in Australia, have provided faithful witness to the good news of Jesus Christ for 150 years in the Bellarine and Portarlington.
In September 2023, Portarlington Uniting Church celebrated those 150 years of continuous worship and witness. A commentative book Rejoice, Reflect, Renew written by Keith Pigdon marked this significant milestone. and was launched by the Moderator Rev David Fotheringham of the Vic/ Tas Synod on a special day of celebration.
